Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
A privacy policy usually lists what a company collects and leaves you to work out whether any of it matters. This one is built the other way round.
There are four things that can actually go wrong with your information. Each gets a section below: what the risk is, what stands between you and it, what the law requires of us, and what you can do yourself. After those, a plain inventory of what we hold and for how long.
- It gets breached.
- It gets sold.
- You get followed around the internet.
- You get mail you didn't ask for.
Plushridge LLC, 4125 Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33901 — support@plushridge.com, +1 239-939-1933 — is responsible for the information described here. We sell and ship within the United States only, and this policy covers that.
Reading this page commits you to nothing. You're not agreeing to anything by visiting the site; a privacy policy is a disclosure we owe you, not a contract you sign.
Risk 1 — It gets breached
What we hold that's worth stealing
Honestly: not much. Your name, address, email, phone number, and what you bought.
Not your card number. Card details go from your browser straight to the payment processor and never enter our systems. We can't see them, can't store them, and can't lose them. We see the amount, the date, the method, the last four digits, and whether it went through.
Not your Social Security number, driver's license, bank login, or date of birth. We don't ask for any of them, and nobody from Plushridge will.
Not your password in readable form. If you create an account, it's stored hashed. We can't read it, which is why we'll never email it to you and why anyone who offers to is not us.
What stands between
Encrypted connections across the whole store including checkout. Access to customer records limited to people who need it to do their job. Payment data that never touches our infrastructure. Current software and secured backups.
No one can promise absolute security, and anyone who does is telling you something they can't know. What we can tell you is what we'd do if it happened.
What we'd do, and when
Florida law sets the clock, and it's shorter than most people assume.
- We notify affected individuals within 30 days of determining a breach occurred.
- If 500 or more Floridians are affected, we notify the Florida Department of Legal Affairs within 30 days.
- If more than 1,000 people need notice at once, the national credit reporting agencies get told too.
The notice tells you what happened, when, what categories of information were involved, and what we're doing about it. You'd hear it from us, not from a news story.
Florida Information Protection Act, Fla. Stat. § 501.171.
What you can do
Use a password here you don't use anywhere else. If you get an email claiming to be us and asking for a card number, a password, or a payment to release a package, it isn't us — forward it to support@plushridge.com and we'll confirm. Every real message from us comes from an address ending @plushridge.com.
Risk 2 — It gets sold
The straight answer
We don't sell your personal information for money. Not to data brokers, not to list compilers, not to other retailers. There's no price at which your order history is for sale.
The part most policies leave out
Several state privacy laws define "sale" more broadly than money changing hands, and define "sharing" to include passing information to advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising.
By that definition, we do share. When our site runs Google Ads conversion tracking or the Meta Pixel, those platforms receive information about your visit and whether it ended in a purchase. We get advertising measurement; they get data. No invoice is involved, which is exactly why the broader definition exists.
We'd rather say that plainly than hide behind "we do not sell your personal information for money."
What stands between
The switch is yours and it's on the site. Decline advertising cookies in our cookie banner and that sharing stops. Section 3 covers the detail, including the browser-level signal we honor.
Nothing about declining changes what you pay, what you can buy, or how we treat you. We don't price differently, we don't restrict the catalog, and we don't slow anything down for people who opt out. Any policy that did would be unlawful in several states and contemptible in all of them.
Who does get your information, and why
- The payment processor — to take the payment. They see the card; we don't.
- USPS — your name, address, and contact details, to deliver the package. Not what you bought and not what you paid.
- Our hosting and store platform — because the site runs on them.
- Our email provider — to send order confirmations and, if you asked for them, newsletters.
- Analytics and advertising platforms — only if you accepted those cookies.
- Our accountant, and the authorities where the law requires it.
Each one gets only what it needs for its job, under a contract that limits them to that purpose. That's the whole list. We don't share with "business partners," affiliates, or anyone whose role we can't name.
Risk 3 — You get followed around the internet
Three kinds of cookie, and only one isn't optional
Essential. Your cart, checkout, login, security, and the record of your cookie choice itself. These aren't a choice — without them there's no store. They don't track you anywhere else.
Analytics. Which pages get visited, how long people stay, where they give up. Your choice.
Advertising. Whether an ad led to a purchase, and ads shown to you elsewhere. This is the Meta Pixel and Google Ads. Your choice, and it's the one that follows you off our site.
What stands between
You decline and they're not set. Not set quietly, not set "pending consent," not set until you notice.
Your browser's privacy signal counts. Where your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising sharing without you having to click anything. That's a live standard, unlike the older "Do Not Track" header, which no one agreed on and which we're not going to pretend means something.
Changing your mind is one click, through the cookie settings on the site. Clearing cookies in your browser removes what's already there.
Declining breaks nothing. You can browse, order, pay, track, and return with every optional cookie off.
What you can't turn off, and why it isn't tracking
Our server records each request — IP address, time, page, browser, operating system. That's how a website is kept running and attacks are spotted. It isn't linked to your order, used for advertising, or built into a profile, and it's deleted on a short cycle. There's no switch for it because a site that can't log requests can't be defended.
Risk 4 — You get mail you didn't ask for
What we send without asking
Order confirmations, dispatch notices, tracking, and replies from support. These are part of the purchase. They aren't marketing and there's no unsubscribe link, because turning them off would mean you don't find out where your package is.
What we send only if you ask
Newsletters, offers, and product announcements — to people who signed up, and nobody else. We don't buy email lists, we don't add you because you ordered once, and we don't mail addresses we scraped from anywhere.
What stands between
The CAN-SPAM Act sets the rules for commercial email and we follow them rather than treating them as a ceiling:
- Every marketing email carries a working unsubscribe link, and it keeps working for at least 30 days after the email is sent.
- We act on an unsubscribe within 10 business days — in practice immediately.
- No disguised sender, no misleading subject line.
- Every marketing email contains our physical postal address, because the law requires it. That's the Fort Myers address, which is a correspondence address and not a store.
15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.
We don't send marketing text messages. If we ever do, it will be opt-in only, with express written consent collected separately — a phone number you gave us for delivery updates is not consent to be marketed to, under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act or under any reading we'd be comfortable with.
What you can do
Click unsubscribe, or email us. Either works and neither requires a reason. Unsubscribing never affects an order, a return, or how quickly support answers you.
What we actually hold
Short, because the list is short.
From you. Name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, what you ordered, and what you've written to us. If you create an account: the same plus a hashed password and your order history. If you subscribe: your email address and whether our emails get opened.
Automatically. IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and times — in server logs, and through cookies you've accepted.
What we don't collect at all. Date of birth. Social Security or driver's license numbers. Bank credentials. Full card numbers. Precise location. Biometrics. Health information. Anything about your race, religion, politics, or sexual orientation. We have no mobile app, no loyalty program, no community features, and we don't record phone calls.
Don't send us sensitive information in a support email. We don't need it and we'd rather not hold it.
How long
| Order and payment records | 7 years — tax and accounting records |
| Support correspondence | 2 years, or with the order if it relates to one |
| Return and claim files | 7 years, as part of the order record |
| Account | until you close it; we delete it within 30 days |
| Newsletter subscription | until you unsubscribe — then your address stays on a suppression list so we don't mail you again, and is used for nothing else |
| Server logs | 6 months |
| Cookies | per cookie, up to 24 months; your cookie choice for 12 months, then we ask again |
Closing an account doesn't erase the orders. Purchase records have to be kept for tax purposes, and that obligation outranks a deletion request — a point most policies leave you to discover.
Your rights
State privacy laws vary, and whether a given one covers a business this size depends on thresholds and on where you live. Rather than make you work that out, we offer the same rights to every customer in the United States.
- Know what we hold about you, and get a copy
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete what we hold, except records we're required to keep
- Opt out of advertising sharing, at any time
- Unsubscribe from marketing, at any time
- Be treated no differently for exercising any of these
For completeness: the Florida Digital Bill of Rights applies only to controllers with over $1 billion in global annual revenue meeting further criteria, so it doesn't reach a business like ours. We're telling you that because the rights above are ours to give rather than Florida's to require — which means we can't quietly withdraw them without saying so on this page.
How to use them
Email support@plushridge.com. A sentence is enough; there's no form.
We answer within 45 days. If something genuinely needs longer we'll tell you inside that period, with the reason.
It's free, unless a request is clearly excessive or repeated, in which case we'll explain before charging anything rather than after.
We'll check you are who you say you are, but no further than necessary. If you ordered using an email address, a message from that address is enough. We will never ask for a photo of your ID so you can see your own order history.
The rest
Children. Our store isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Other websites. We link out to USPS tracking, manufacturers, and social media. Once you're there, their policy applies and not ours. A link isn't an endorsement and we have no control over what they collect.
No automated decisions. No algorithm decides whether you can order, what you pay, or how a claim turns out. A person looks at every one.
Changes to this policy. We can update this page; the current version is always here with its date at the top. If something material changes — a new purpose, a new category of recipient, a longer retention period — we'll email you if we have your address, and ask again where consent is involved. We're not relying on you to check back.
